Health industry is evolving rapidly and with this rapid growth it's very difficult to maintain healthrecord. Our mission is to provide anywhere health record accessibility by improving diagnosis, there by reducing healthcare costs to all citizens. MedRe allows patients to keep their health records on a secure and HIPAA compliant cloud based solution. MedRe helps patients share their records with any providers quickly and allows Emergency respondents access the profile to provide quick and safe first response.
We need to have our medical records put on the IT.
The current medical records system is this: Room after room after room in a hospital filled with paper files.
Problem Statement: Create a mobile application which is unique, ability to manage health records, have additional functionality like medicine delivery at doorsteps and many more.
Challenge: Paper medical records isn’t scalable; it lacks backup and it’s not secure. It led me to think about a solution which is not expensive and more secure to save health data. Keeping accessibility and modern look in mind.
Proposal: I decided to create healthcare app where record management get as simple as 123. It take few clicks to complete a task, easy to understand and informative. Patients could access their health record anytime, anywhere using MedRe mobile app. This solution would be beneficial for hospital and testing labs too.
Audience: The targeted audience is patients as well as people interested in managing their health records or daily vitals.
My Role: Work as UI/UX Designer and solve health record management problem to simplify patient’s life. I discovered the user’s problem and understood their pain points, then started off the design, conducted user research to advocate designs and followed complete UX Process end to end.
Mind Map: To understand app I Created simple mind map which was used to plan site Map of the Product. It helped in exploring ideas, brainstorming, creative thinking and organizing information.
Usability Testing:
Testing of beta version is still in progress using TestFlight. Prior to launch, I'll be iterating beta version of app based upon usability testing. I used focus group and other testing methods like shadowing users, click stream analysis and task based analysis.
